Stone church with a red-tiled roof, arched entrance decorated with flowers and greenery, and a tall tower in the background under cloudy sky.

Hortus Poeticus creates wedding floristry through two considered approaches.

Couture is fully bespoke and often expansive in scale, developed through close collaboration and site visits, and suited to projects requiring complex,
architectural installations.

Studio is more distilled: a simpler, lower-intervention offering that retains the same seasonal integrity and depth of character, designed for more intimate settings
and gentler budgets.

Both are guided by the same principles: provenance, restraint and a cultivated
understanding of place.

Couture Weddings

Couture is where floristry becomes fully immersive.
Each project is uniquely developed through close collaboration and an attentive reading of the site, allowing the work to unfold at scale. With an architectural sensibility and freedom for complex installations,
Couture weddings invite floral design to shape the atmosphere, structure and story of a space.

A woman in a light-colored dress holding a bouquet of mixed flowers during a wedding ceremony, partially standing next to a man in a black suit.

A bridal bouquet gathered with intention, where seasonal flowers are interwoven with peas and artichoke, a nod to the bride’s food-led eye and a love of what is grown, not styled.

Large floral arrangement in an ornate vase on a green draped table inside a room with stone walls and wooden paneling, featuring a colorful mural in the background.

A freestanding floral installation, shaped by its setting. Attentive to proportion, light and atmosphere, it sits as part of the architecture of the day.

A tall glass vase filled with white and pale pink flowers and green foliage, placed on a wooden table in a decorated room with framed artwork on the walls.
A decorated dining room with a round table set for a meal, surrounded by wooden chairs, with a fireplace decorated with an ornate white mantel and filled with glass bottles and pink flowers on a ledge above.

A Couture approach to table flowers, where arrangements are scaled and placed to respond to the architecture of the room. Often briefed as a single, composed scene rather than multiple separate elements.

Wooden staircase decorated with greenery and white flowers, leading up to a wall with a decorative cornice, under an archway with hanging plants.

A couture-scale arrangement designed for a private interior setting. Briefed as part of the day's atmosphere, rather than a formal display, it sits naturally within the home and its collections.

Floral installations placed in dialogue with the doorway and steps, allowing the architecture to lead. In Couture work, thresholds are often treated as scenes of arrival, not statements of excess.

A floral installation shaped around the rhythm of the staircase, allowing flowers and foliage to unfold gradually as the space is
entered and climbed.

Two sets of floral boutonnieres with white and pale pink roses, baby's breath, green foliage, and small white flowers on brown cardboard with a label "HORTUS poeticus"; placed on a stone surface.

Small in scale, but never incidental. These couture buttonholes are composed one by one, allowing detail, season and character to be held close.

Studio Weddings

A Studio Wedding is the essence of what we do, gently pared back.
Season-led, thoughtfully composed, and rooted in the same depth of character as our full-scale work, it offers a more distilled approach — fewer elements, lower intervention, and a quiet confidence in restraint. Designed for intimate settings and gentler budgets, Studio is about choosing beautifully, rather than choosing more.

at ground level and rise naturally into the space. Seasonal, informal and responsive to place

A small, seasonal arrangement made for a lived-in moment — resting among books, glasses and conversation. Studio flowers are often scattered lightly through a space, rather than staged.

A simple, season-led arrangement, composed with a sense of immediacy. Studio flowers are often made to feel as though they have just been gathered and set down.

formal statement.
