A winter wedding shaped by the language of the English drawing room
Beth and Tristan were married in Winchester in winter, with floral work shaped by the gentle, candlelit quality of the season. The approach favoured intimacy over display, drawing on the language of the English winter interior — restrained, architectural, and quietly warm.
Flowers were selected for line, texture, and scent rather than colour. Early blossom, hellebore, winter foliage, and delicate stems were arranged sparingly, allowing space, shadow, and material to do much of the work. Within the rooms, arrangements responded to the architecture with discretion, sitting lightly against panelled walls, stone, and patterned surfaces.
The overall effect was calm and composed: floristry that felt gathered, offering warmth and presence without excess. A winter setting shaped by light, restraint, and attention to detail.
